I've sent a tweet to the Manchester Evening News to see if they know anything. Something must be up. He's been on the scene for years and is quite a senior figure. I still stand by the hypothesis he was asked to not attend and to simply disappear following the news coverage of his rant.

Not a byelection (yet) but Chris O'Neal (Ind) Gwynedd CC (Marchog Ward) has been charged with assault. That'd be fun for the prediction competition!

Can there really be a ward called Pocklington Provincial? What is it a province of? Pocklington is hardly large enough to have provinces. Very Trollopian.

I had no idea this case was still going on - and to think, in 2010, he was 192 votes away from becoming an MP.

Was in Kendal yesterday, and drove past 14 garden posters for the Lib Dems on one stretch of road, so Strickland and Fell looks safe for next week. Looked like parts of Levenshulme in the old days.

On every level, I want this to be untrue, as it would mean an early teenage boy, who had never managed to be adopted as a child, was raped by his foster parent. He would feel destroyed - It is too f#@king awful.

Does that not tend to identify the victim?

Does that not tend to identify the victim? That happened ages ago, in the press.

Ynysddu is on 7 April.
Very disappointing to see us not contesting Moriah. Not a bad result there in 2012 = Lab 698/543, PC 420, Ind. 263.
