Yes we do talk about them. That seems an unlikely place to have had a LD councillor. Was he previously returned unopposed?

Yes he was; in the 2011 Town Council by-election the seven member Altofts ward only saw five candidates nominate. Four Lab & 1 LD.

St Just Town councillor for over 40 years , Francis Angwin has resigned because of the new directive forcing town and parish councillors to declare their and their partner's financial interests online .
There will be many such people witl long and valuable service lost to Town and Parish councils over the next few months .

Dodington is a very safe LD ward , both the 2 LD councillors are still shown on the council website as representing the ward so I cannot tell which has resigned .
The Bradley Stoke Meadowbank vacancy is a Conservative seat narrowly won in 2011 in a straight fight with LD's in 2011 . Bradley Stoke council was 100% Conservative but there have been several defections from Conservative to UKIP .

Katie Ray, Liberal Democrat councillor for Battins ward, Havant BC has resigned - moving away from area to take up a new job.
This means there are now no Liberal Democrat councillors remaining on Havant Borough Council.

I'm aware of a future by-election in a Marches local authority caused by death, though I'm not quite sure how official the announcement of all that is.
