Steve Holmes, a Conservative councillor on Dacorum borough council (Woodhall Farm ward) and on Hertfordshire county council (Hemel Hempstead Town division) has resigned. He was cabinet member for planning and regeneration on Dacorum.
I have been told the reason but it's not in the public domain yet.

Another one worth noting is Hammersmith and Fulham, Town - impending resignation of Stephen Greenhalgh, the outgoing leader of the council, in order to become Deputy Mayor for Policiing.

Yes. Last week's Hemel Gazette tried its best to hint at it, reporting the sudden resignation of Cllr Holmes (aged 60 from Hemel) and the arrest of a 60-year-old man from Hemel in separate stories but close together. |
