Tony Lee , Conservative councillor for Waterloo ward on Blackpool UA has sadly died . Will be the 5th by election in this authority this year . We used to keep tallies on authorities with regular byelections, didn't we? Five in one year is quite the something! |

There are 4 by-elections in the last week of July and 9 called for August along with 2 aleady identified during September. There are a further 12 known vacancies where the election has as yet no date together with an impending vacany where the resigning councillor is still listed as such on the council's web-site.

Cllr Malcolm Small UKIP, West Heath ward in Farnborough, Rushmoor Borough Council has resigned for personal reasons. He had a high profile court case earlier this year.
