Playing around with another possible map for Coventry and Warwickshire, and I don't seem to be able to add Brailes and Compton ward (Stratford upon Avon council) to my plan. The best work around in these kind of situations is to add the whole primary authority or current constituency via another ward, then obviously remove other wards as desired (just trying now Brailes & Compton isn't a problem for me so maybe it's fixed but I know these little bugs present from time to time)

Sometimes wards just get "stuck" and you have to save the plan, refresh the page and try again. This is a problem at the user's end, not at Kevin's.

kevinlarkin, could you consider removing the english regions, especially considering that Northamptonshire may be paired with Milton Keynes. Or, could you just include a region of all of England as so to make some boundaries easier to demonstrate Please could you consider this as it would make drawing cross-region constituencies much easier

From the Guide to the Review: I'd be very surprised if they crossed regional boundaries. To do so would undermine the system for allocating seats to the regions, and would complicate the consultation process. I understand Adrian's reasons for considering grouping Milton Keynes with Northamptonshire, but there are perfectly workable plans pairing the latter with Rutland and keeping MK with the rest of Buckinghamshire, so I can't see it happening.

There's no chance whatsoever that the BCE will ignore the English regions

For example with constituencies called Leominster and Hereford & North Forest of Dean.

Is Boundary Assistant not loading properly for anybody else, or is it just my Laptop? Was slow about an hour go but that may have been my internet, fine now.

I'm not sure of the correct format for reporting this, but I've spotted a discrepancy between the data on Boundary Assistant and the numbers in the BCE report. This concerns wards in Tonbridge & Malling District in Kent.
On BA the wards of Wateringbury, W Malling and Wrotham are given with electorates of 4794, 3273 and 1540 respectively.
In the BCE report the respective numbers are 1540, 4794, 3273, i.e. the same numbers but attached to different wards.
I am pretty sure that the BCE is correct.

Presumably there is a plan to update Boundary Assistant with the BCE's proposed constituencies, but more helpfully - is there anything that we can do to help kevinlarkin or whoever does this? (I'm imagining that a data file with BCE Constituency Name / Ward ID is what you functionally need but...?)

Yes, I noticed that myself earlier today. There is a mismatch between the codes used by the BCE for these wards and the ones used by Ordnance Survey. Once I have checked which is correct I'll amend accordingly.

Proposed boundaries for Northern Ireland and England are now available, with Wales to follow. You may need to refresh a couple of times to see this option.
There are a few areas with recent boundary changes where the new ward boundary does not line up with an unchanged adjacent boundary leading to spurious slivers of boundaries in places, for example between Colnbrook & Poyle and Horton & Wraysbury wards in Windsor constituency.

Quick question on BA - whilst I can see the BCE proposals (many thanks kevinlarkin) and their outlines, is there a way of loading them as the 'base' map? In some areas it clearly makes sense to take the BCE proposals and then look at (minor-ish) adjustments which is easier if you don't have to select and name each proposed constituency in turn?

Can anybody tell me if there is any reason why I cannot select Ponteland West in the North East?
Can anybody select it or do I have a problem?

I can select Ponteland West but not Ponteland North You're right. I was looking at the ward name and had previously clicked West. Sorry for the confusion.

Thought I was the only 1! Seemed to happen after the commission proposal update. Ponteland North is blank (including on previously fine proposals) while Ponteland West is a lighter shade of blue.
