From the opinion poll Devonian has quoted above there appear to be alliances between DISY and the European Party and EDEK and the ecologists for this year. I'm guessing we might not see huge changes in the seats.

So I was right about not much changing in terms of seats, but the votes for all major parties declined and EDEK did come rather close to losing their seat.

LAOS failure is one of reasons Farage is having to work to put a group together (together with losing allies in France and Slovakia and Lega Nord moving camps).
PASOK's collapse is quite astounding really. 
Nobody will work with Golden Dawn (thankfully), although ANEL could be courted by someone trying to put together a group (or someone trying to block somebody getting the numbers to do so).

Malta had 5 seats in 2009, but gained an extra one post-Lisbon which it keeps this year.

The extra seat post-Lisbon went to PL making it a 4-2 split. The latest opinion poll gives just a 1.15% swing to PN, which would be enough to make it a 3-3 split this time.



And that's me finished the lot, I think. Hope somebody has found these either interesting or useful and thank to Devonian for the updates on opinion polls.

So in the end the swing was just under 0.5% but was still enough to switch the final seat on transfers.

PSD-PC - Alliance of Social Democratic Party and Conservative Party (whose placing in the PES would seem rather odd) - Centre Left-Centre Right alliance
PDL - Democratic Liberal Party - centre right liberal conservatives
PNL - National Liberal Party - centre right liberals
UDMR - Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania - liberal conservatives with an ethnic flavour
PRM - Greater Romania Party -nationalist
The independant is the daughter of the current president who had sought to stand for the Democratic Liberals but was turned down. She re-joined after election results were announced.

The Conservatives left their alliance with PSD in 2010. In 2011 they formed a Centre-Right alliance with PNL, although this alliance then formed the Social Liberal Union with PSD. All parties will be standing seperately this year though.

Romania loses a further seat to 32 this year.

From polls, SDS look like they will confortably come top again and keep their 3 seats. New Slovenia look like coming second and picking up an extra seat. The Social DEmocrats look like crashing and failing to win a seat and Zares have all but disappeared. The far-right Slovenian National Party (SNS)  and List Verjamem (who I can't find anything on) look like picking up a seat each with the final seat being close between the Liberal Democrats and the Pensioners.
