Bulgaria, 2009 results. Bulgaria dropped 1 seat to 17 in 2009. They gained it back post-Lisbon, but lose it again this time. GERB (Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria) | 24.4% | +2.7% | 5 seats | nc | EPP | KB (Coalition for Bulgaria) | 18.5% | -2.9% | 4 Seats | -1 | PES | DPS (Movement for Freedom and Rights | 14.1% | -6.1% | 3 seats | -1 | ALDE | PPA (Attack) | 12.0% | -2.2% | 2 seats | -1 | None | NDSV (National Movement for stability and progress) | 8.0% | +1.9% | 2 seats | +1 | ALDE | SK (Blue Colaition) | 8.0% | +1.1% | 1 seat* | +1 | EPP |
* SK gained the extra seat post-Lisbon. The coalition has since parted ways with part of it going to form the Reformist block. DPS look like dropping back sharply with things close between GERB and KB and BBT (Bulgaria without Censorship) looking to do well and pick up at least 1 seat. ABV (Alternative for Bularian Development) also have a chance according to some polls. NDSV look like they're gone though.

And a new poll from Greece (8/4/14), I have noticed that Greek polls are really rather variable and it can very much depend on the polling organisation, so a nice big pinch of salt for this.
SYRIZA 20.2% ND 19.5% To Potami 8.8% GD 7% KKE 6.7% PASOK 5.5% ANEL 4.1% DIMAR 2.8% ANTARSYA (Anticapitalists) 1.4% Union for the Fatherland and the People (Patriotic Right) 1% Greens 1%
Greece has 21 seats and a 3% threshold
SYRIZA 6 (+5), ND 6 (-2), To Potami 3 (+3), GD 2 (+2), KKE 2 (-), PASOK 1 (-7). ANEL 1 (+1), LAOS 0 (-2), Greens 0 (-1)

Who are Union for the Fatherland? Ένωση για την Πατρίδα και τον Λαό to you, guv. They are a reincarnation of various right-centrist groups who want to pretend not to be New Democracy. They have four MPs in the Greek Parliament by defection from ND in a couple of cases via ANEL. The leader is Byron Polydoras, who has been a Minister and Speaker of the Greek House. Not as scary as they sound.

Does anyone know what seat allocation Cyprus uses for the European Parliament elections? From looking at the results in 2009 it doesn't look like d'Hondt but I've been unable to find information on what method they do use.

Also one citizen I. Koulouris filled his candidacy as a single candidate for the whole Greece. However its unlikely that the court will allow him to run as such since the law prohibits independent single candidacies in EU elections. He further stated that if he isnt allowed to run then he will file a case before Supreme Court in order to strike down the law as unconstitutional.

Presumably the "Struggling Socialist Party of Greece" reads better in Greek than it does in English?

There are two Golden Dawn parties? Or is the second the real one and the first the clone?
Also the Hunters party doesn't sound very green to me!

I love PASOK trying to hide in a coalition party in order to try and fool some of the dimmer voters who might want retribution against them.
