After the first result tonight, I make GKR slightly extending his lead over Phil, with Hempie moving up to 3rd place for the month. Mark Senior best in Bolton.
But I'm not even the deputy deputy RO! - and my calculations are always very rough.

I am afraid I cannot declare the result of this month's competition until the full first preferences of the Highlands, Black Isle by-election are published. It appears greatkingrat has closed much of the 12.5 fault advantage held by Pete Whitehead and it is conceivable either could be slightly ahead. Final result when all the detail is known.

Its a bit of a rushed job but I think I make my faults 38.2 for Black Isle and Greatkingrat has 26.5 - a difference of 11.7 so a remarkably close finish again, but I'm not going to call it
