The land of Cybernattery seems quite bitter tonight.

Where does one find this land of Cybernattery? Not that I want to find it particularly. I only ask because the few SNP types I know from here and another place always seem perfectly civilised (not least our good host here, who seems to have become civilised since joining the SNP)

Where does one find this land of Cybernattery? Many places, one of which is twitter. There's also usually a lot on the comment threads of newspapers...

A classic post in the style of Sibboleth. Says nothing, implies lots. Congratulations on your appointment as global moderator.

A classic post in the style of Sibboleth. Says nothing, implies lots. I like it. Their is a time for understatement and this is logically a very civilised way to gloat.

Now you mention it I have seen one or two examples of this. Mind you those threads always attract nutters from all across the spectrum. I daresay even some of my party colleaugues can be guilty of engaging in a bit of hyperbole in those kind of settings

I think they turn Scottish papers' comments sections into a parody of Guido.

Clearly not, otherwise presumably nobody would vote for them

Are the nats everyone's least favourite major(ish) party? My main problem is the good progressive or just decent middle of the road nats of a few years ago have been ousted by the opportunists.

They probably used to be a second choice for a fair chunk of the Scottish electorate. Most of those nowadays seem to give them a first choice. Those left in other parties are I think less kindly disposed. Back in the 80s I quite liked a number of their people although I was not particulary keen on their new high flier, a guy called Salmond.

Cheers Al, your good wishes appreciated. I will confess that "Global" is quite intimidating. Or laughable. One or the other. Don't feel you have to get off the fence as to which. I could change your title to something else if you prefer, that's just the forum software's default name for someone who has moderator capability across the whole site.

I think the RO has just announced a 42.75% turnout. So that's about 23,500 +/- 500 votes in total? EDIT: I see it is 24,241

Is there a TV show for this election available online? I don't have satellite or cable btw.
