James Doyle is standing on a ticket to make the Green Party stop fracking? To be honest, I didn't think the Greens would be involved in that.

Yep got to put your own house in order first!
On a serious note, I thought I'd be at a bit of a disadvantage not living in the division - but as it turns out, none of the candidates do! I am marginally the furthest from Storrington, though. I know John Wallace a bit, and I know more about Philip Circus now I've been around getting nomination signatures and talking to people

Was Philip Circus once a Richmond upon Thames councillor? It's an unusual name.
And Robert Frost will be taking the road less travelled for Labour candidates if he fails to win well in Wombwell

And Robert Frost will be taking the road less travelled for Labour candidates if he fails to win well in Wombwell Well, indeed. But as a former miner who lives in Wombwell he probably won't have to worry too much about that. Incidentally, the UKIP candidate is also a former miner who lives in the ward.

Both UKIP and Greens will do well in West Sussex. However, if fracking is to be a key issue, in the interest of transparency, shouldn't it be made known that UKIP are fervently in favour; that they do oppose many government stances, just not that probably key and contentious voting issue?

The gremlins got into my report above on Woodbridge Town Council, which should read: Woodbridge Town Council comprises 16 members elected from four wards - Farlingaye (4), Kyson (4), Riverside (4) and Seckford (4).
There are also contested elections for Woodstock Town Council in West Oxfordshire and Longhope Parish Council in the Forest of Dean, but these are non-political.

In the Cotswold district council elections, Tetbury always has far more candidates than any other ward. In most Cotswold wards you are lucky if you just have a choice between Con and Lib Dem or just Con and UKIP, as opposed to being uncontested. It looks this political fervour extends to the town council as well, judging by the different labels their councillors hold, especially the many variants of independents. Perhaps it is another Stoke in the making.
