Which is quite respectable under the circumstances. I thought it wouldn't be drastically different to the local election turnout of about 50%.

I thought you weren't supposed to be take close-up photos of votes before the result was announced.

Looks like the Tories have collapsed to UKIP's benefit from the photos.

The Tories would need about 1,100 votes to save their deposit and from the photos it doesn't look too promising for them.

I thought you weren't supposed to be take close-up photos of votes before the result was announced. Don't think you can see any individual votes in these photos.

I thought you weren't supposed to be take close-up photos of votes before the result was announced. TV crews do it all the time, i can't influence the result.

HE's been helped immensely by the Labour candidate.

In the last 12 months Tal Michael has lost North Wales PCC election, then he lost Labour selection for Arfon PPC and now he barely beats UKIP for second place.
He can top Christine Gwyther as the Welsh Labour's most beloved serial loser.

In fairness he was on a hiding to nothing this time round. I've met him: seems nice enough as a person.

I think the best PC vote in Ynys Mon was the 18,580 they polled in 1987. They could be heading for about two-thirds of that tonight on a much lower turnout.

Not directly comparable anyway (except in the sense that it is. But you know what I mean). This will be an excellent result for them.

The way they're moving the votes around is risking getting them mixed up IMO. Why not have separate tables?
