The question does not arise. Brexit was an event, not a process, and it happened on 30 January 2020.

If by "Brexiteers" one means "those who believe the UK should stay out of the EU forever more" then that covers all Reform MPs, nearly all Tories, and most NI unionists.
Quite possibly nobody else, though.

Quite possibly nobody else, though. By that defintion, it ought to mean almost every MP. Including those who believe we should join Schengen, the customs union and the single market. It certanly now includes Keir Starmer.

Well the definition was "forever more", so not really. Starmer did say rejoining the EU wouldn't happen "in his lifetime", but he is a man in his 60s.

How many MPs in the new parliament are Brexiteers? I read that only one new Labour MP voted for Brexit, Jacob Collier in Burton, and he now regrets it apparently.

How many MPs in the new parliament are Brexiteers? Graham Stringer = most high profile Labour Leaver, IIRC.

How many MPs in the new parliament are Brexiteers? Depends if they will need to be by 2029. Apparently MP's of all shades are of the view they only need to believe in Brexit or whatever for the few weeks before the next election in order to convince the proles. The cunning plan of a simple leaflet pushed through letterboxes during the campaign is all it takes by all accounts.

Even if the entire Labour Party emotionally wanted to rejoin, it's not really relevant if they have no intention of seeking to rejoin. And they don't.
We won. We need to get over it. Or at least only bully those who are still whining.

They have no intention of seeking to rejoin in this parliament or even the next one, that is totally correct.
And it is also only a relatively small part of the overall story.
In its first few weeks this government has already placed itself closer to some European institutions, a process that will steadily continue.
I always thought Brexit was ultimately doomed by the fact we ARE a European country, for all the Brexitist fantasies of somehow towing us out into the mid-Atlantic. We might - might - not rejoin the EU in my lifetime or yours, but we will in the lifespan of several posters on here. And also, demographics is on their side.

There is as much chance of the entire EU breaking up.
edit. Or come to that the UK breaking up
