I've been wondering what cumulative totals to tally up next and in doing so discovered that at the 2000 London Assembly elections, Arthur Scargill topped the Socialist Labour Party top-up list.

The Wikipedia articles on the Senedd elections are horrendous. I was going to collate the regional top-up votes as I have done for the European and Scottish elections, only these details are missing. So instead of typing things here, I might well be typing things over there instead.

There seems to be an attitude against them being as thorough as Westminster elections. So UK General Elections get everything: results, analysis, lists, breakdowns, projects, the works. Scotland, Wales, even London, are barely touched at all. It's a shame that the electoral nerds who still potter around Wikipedia have a blindspot to the devolved assemblies. I will try my best over the weekend, I'm not going to the pubs so I have time to spare!

Cumulative totals of all London Mayoral parties/independents. Top 10 only because, well, look at the top 2 and their percentage vote share, there's little after the top 5 that worth committing to history. Full list runs to 23 Conservative | 3,932,304 | 36.4 | Labour | 3,841,953 | 35.6 | Liberal Democrats | 935,463 | 8.7 | Ken Livingstone | 667,877 | 6.2 | Green | 422,386 | 3.9 | UKIP | 292,509 | 2.7 | BNP | 203,762 | 1.9 | Christian Peoples Alliance | 113,007 | 1.0 | Respect | 98,738 | 0.9 | S.
