I think this is the first time since May 1999 that Torridge, Bideford North has had two or more councillors from the same party:
1995 - 2 LD, 1 Green 1999 - 1 Green, 1 LD, 1 Independent To Secure A Successful Bideford 2003 - 1 Green, 1 LD, 1 Community Alliance Independent 2007 - 1 Con, 1 Green, 1 LD 2011 - 1 Con, 1 Green, 1 LD 2015 - 1 Con, 1 Green, 1 LD 2019 - 1 Con, 1 Green, 1 Ind 2023 - 1 Green, 1 LD, 1 Ind 2024by - 2 LD, 1 Ind
That's the same Green councillor, Peter Christie, throughout. He was first elected in 1991, though he also stood in both 1983 and 1987 (missing out by ten votes).

I’m beginning to think that the Tories have quietly got their vote out in London…. think we did too. 😁 Yes, the suburbs are now more diverse and the Tories seem to have forgotten that when assuming that the differential turnout would work in their favour. Anyway they are still in their fantasy world, now saying it’ll only be a hung Parliament. The penny takes a long time to drop and it’s always someone else’s fault and never their own.
