Bumper crop today
Addressed letter (to the wife) from SNP candidate, quite a heavy climate change focus. Addressed letter (to me, yay!) from Keir Starmer asking me to vote for Ian Murray Free post from the Greens Free post from Alba -only Alba have a plan to deliver independence, but you have to scan the QR code to see what it is, not doing that. Very text heavy leaflet from Edinburgh People - never in the field of electoral politics have so many words been used to say so little. 2 packed sides of A4 and they don't have a single policy in there. They have a meeting 2 months after the election to decide their policies. The more I see of them the more this seems like a bad idea dreamt up on a drunken night out which they still haven't seen the problems with.
So I think that's something from everyone now, but only Labour have given us more than one.

Second leaflet from the Lib Dems today - addressed to me, bit more actual policy than the last one.

Just received a first leaflet of the campaign. An addressed generic Lib Dem A5 leaflet.

Saw my first SNP poster today in Morningside. Gradually more Labour posters appearing and they definitely lead overall now, whilst a week or two back I'd seen more Green than labour ones. None from anybody else spotted yet.

None from anybody else spotted yet. Hardly worth anyone’s time, this seat must be Murray’s for as long as he wants it (barring boundary changes chopping it up at some point)

None from anybody else spotted yet. My impression is roughly the opposite - I've seen more SNP than Labour posters so far (although I'm largely restricted to East and Musselburgh/North and Leith rather than South). The only non-SNP/Lab/Green electoral paraphernalia I've spotted is a tiny Lib Dem diamond on the bay window of a flat in Strathearn Road.

Just back from voting - main activity at both the polling station at the end of my road I have to walk past and the one I actually vote at was the A-boards being devastated by the good Scottish wind - but I did deliberately pick a quiet time to vote as I'm just recovering from a bout of Covid, so not reading too much into that.

I have just returned from voting at Holy Corner. No one outside the polling station when I arrived but bumped into Ian Murray on the way out. It was fairly brisk with a steady stream of voters.

Pretty quiet when I voted at Greenbank this morning. Was around 09:30 so not exactly peak time. No party representatives outside at all.

Lab 53.3 SNP 16.5 Grn 9.1 Con 8.5 LD 5.9 Remarkable how much the Conservatives and Lib Dems have been squeezed out of contention here. In 2010 the Lib Dems were just 300 votes short of winning here and the Conservatives polled a respectable 22%.
