Well those Labour and indeed Reform prices are laughable.

This is the sort of seat that looks like it will be a good value bet. I think a Lib Dem gain is quite likely, but 4 to 1 against? I'll take some odds like that.

If you can get 8/1 on the exchange, lay against Labour at those odds.
Easiest 12% return you'd ever get, totally risk free.
If Labour won here, we might as well abolish democracy for the next 20 years, because there'd be zero chance of anyone else winning anywhere. Might as well save the £££ that elections cost.

Excuse my betting naivety, but how does that work? I quite like the sound of a risk free 12% return.

The amount of election literature I'm getting from the Lib Dems is bordering on obnoxious now and I worry that it will turn people off, its essentially hard selling.
There is investing in a target seat, and there is 7 distinct election leaflets/letters in 7 days (between the wife and I, she a postal voter and me somebody who likes to walk to the polling station with the dog). It feels a bit OTT.
That said, I want this Tory out so I'll still vote for them, just wondering whether I should seek a restraining order in the meantime!

Every party has been guilty of going OTT on leaflets at one point or another in one seat or more. Lib Dems of course are famous for it and it often works. Out of curiosity how many letters/leaflets have the Conservatives delivered? I'm guessing you're in an urban area? The whole seat certainly won't have had a leaflet a day.

Tom Gordan has been working hard in that area to be fair, he will make a good MP for Harrogate and Knareborough.

Most of it has been delivered by Royal Mail, just seems the Lib Dems are throwing tens of thousands at it. I live in Knaresborough, which has Lib Dem councillors. I know that this is one of the Lib Dems main target seats, but it feels like overkill now. I don't know how many leaflets I've had from the Conservatives overall since the election was called, I'd perhaps estimate that as a couple, since the calling of the election, we've had something like 12 Lib Dem leaflets of distinct design and 2 from the Tories. A forlorn looking Andrew Jones was apparently spotted delivering leaflets on his own recently.

I agree. It's very rare for voters to complain that they're getting too many leaflets from any particular party. More commonly they complain of not getting enough information.

I hear similar complaints in Wokingham and yet I'm still meeting people who are unaware Redwood isn't standing.
