I like the idea of targets for Tory gains. Doubly so those numbered in the hundreds.

Labour Hold
Jess Phillips MP (Labour)
Funny how ten years ago I couldn't stand her now I have a strong respect for her. How times changed.

Second place here will be a stretch for the Tories. My guess is that it will be an independent second place but not a particularly close result.

WPB candidate here has a surprisingly long and interesting history. He got substantial media attention during the 2010 student protests (including interviews and even a blog in the Independent and opportunities to write for other outlets) due to the police dragging him out of his wheelchair (he has cerebral palsy), which was later ruled to be lawful, and then at some point converted to Islam and is now beginning to get media attention yet again as a result of running against Jess Phillips.

He's going to do very well in Small Heath, which is mainly where he's working. Given the people he's palling around with, there will be more unpleasant opinions on the way. He's not going to win and significant community elements are a bit alarmed by him.

I spent the day in Yardley today. I believe the Tories could come 4th or 5th. An unusual amount of Lib Dem support which I think is some 2019 Tories returning to their pre Brexit habits. And perhaps less surprising a lot of Workers Party support in Small Heath

Which do you reckon they can beat - Greens or Reform UK?

Which do you reckon they can beat - Greens or Reform UK? They can beat the Greens, the Greens are very weak in Yardley and the Gallowayite will pull off the cranky left part of their vote. Reform are picking up quite a few votes.
