Another place that the Tories never recovered even any slight competitiveness in It’s interesting how they were only really competitive under Thatcher, with no obvious sign it before or after.

Another place that the Tories never recovered even any slight competitiveness in It’s interesting how they were only really competitive under Thatcher, with no obvious sign it before or after. To put it a bit more plainly, the Conservatives were only competitive when the Labour administration of Waltham Forest council had just put up local tax by 56.6%.

They did very well in 1979 as well, but not really competitive of course. It's often forgotten that the SDP share actually went up by more than the Conservatives in 1987 (not on these notionals but in the actual result in the seat as it then was)

There was of course a brief period in the late 60s when the Conservatives held both Walthamstow seats as a result of by-elections.

If she rents a room in the office it is perfectly reasonable for her to describe it as her office. I have refrained from nitpicking with you so far, so let's not have nitpicking coming from you, thanks

It is normal for labour party rooms to have a flat on the ist floor which is used as the MPs office It is unclear if the moron attacked the Labour Party or the MP Perhaps he could not care less

What an absurd woman and what an absurd bunch of people that she represents. Michaela Trite would be more an apt name

I understand that at one point Gail's were quite major donors to the Conservative Party, but I don't think they are now.
