The Loony candidate's address is in the constituency. It is one of those places whose "postal county" (to the extent that such things still exist) doesn't match its administrative county. Thank you, corrected

Apart from being local, that looks like a candidate designed to get Lib Dem voters to vote for Bagge Absolute nonsense. "Middle-aged woman who is a local councillor" is not a type of candidate designed to repel Lib Dem voters. Perhaps alluding to her sexuality?

What is the Heritage Party? A small splinter party which split away from UKIP And the only party that I'm aware of that had the critical thinking to condemn coronavirus shutdown. Greatly to their credit

Thetford Town Council has hired security after disruption of its meetings. www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c511jy29j88oThetford Council Watch (formerly Thetford Sovereign Council) makes Truss seem sensible and self aware. It gets agitated by 15-minute cities, climate emergency, sex education, vaccines, transgender issues et al. (Terry Jermy, the LAB candidate, is a member of the town council which has a LAB majority) BTW, Bahamian Dr Allan Glaisyer Minns became the first black mayor in Britain when he was elected Mayor of Thetford in 1904.

Can Bagge cut through here? So far it seems his appeal and focus appears to be more in the rural areas, but there are a lot more voters to be found here.

Sovereign Thetford Council endorsing Bagge would be fun

He needs a group of West Brom supporters singing: ‘Come on you Baggies’.’

Some Ipsos polling today. Of voters who are dissatisfied with the economy, 52 per cent blame Liz Truss.

She seems to have disappeared off my social media feed (I do keep an eye on the mad end of the Tory party). A cursory glance sees pictures of her out and about in various settlements grasping literature but very little boosterism.

There is the possibility that she has finally grasped that the standard Tory electorate are pissed off at her fannying about in America. It's a good reminder that Turnip Taliban was a nickname created to denigrate the old-school Conservative locals for no real reason than an understandable wish not to have her foisted upon them. They want bog-standard Toryism, not whatever libertarian fantasies she is peddling.

I don't want Liz Truss to lose because I share a lot of her loony libertarian ideas particularly on the economy, but the way the local Association was treated by Central Office was abysmal
Ironically given the even worse treatment that Sunak's crew have given local Associations, Bagge's candidacy is suiting Sunak very well. It would be interesting to know if all his money (and advice) is from within the constituency.
