She doesn't look like a quinoa munching Guardianista to me...
The usual suspect, ill-dressed, slap-worthy little tart.

A yob who should be made an example of. With Amess, Cox etc., anyone who attacks a political figure should be dealt with swiftly and severely. Oh give over.

Ah, the old "doesn't stand for me, doesn't represent anything believe in, or any of the people around here, doesn't represent us, not from here" so I attacked him in the street. If we're going to re-visit this absurd "milk-shaking" craze from 2019 then I hope charges will be pressed wherever possible - it's not okay to assault someone just because you don't want to vote for them. (Though I fully expect the usual suspects from the hard-left to come back out of the woodwork - both here and in the media - to defend it.) Edit: Note that last time the perpetrator was convicted: www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2019/jun/18/nigel-farage-milkshake-attacker-pleads-guilty-to-common-assaultPizza, egg, milkshake, custard pies, it's all part of a tradition which used to be welcomed and considered part of the course.

I’m ok with someone throwing a Custard Pie, but Milkshake/drink is just crass.

Fair enough to him, he's reacting in the right way - man of the people with more than a slight touch of martyr. Should help his support.

That's easy for you to say, though given you're normally over sensitive to everything I am surprised by your stance. Ultimately, that liquid was a Maccies milkshake, or whatever, but it could have been anything. We have seen, not just attacks on politicians, but an increase in acid attacks for example in recent years and it just isn't acceptable. I am damn sure if this wasn't an attack on Nigel Farage, but on say Ed Davey, you'd probably have a different view.

In the New Religion, things that are violence: * Disagreement * Saying 'No' * Debate * Biology * Words * Staring * Silence Things that are allowed speech: * Threats of violence * Incitement to violence * Actual violence

Throwing rotten tomatoes etc at politicians may be an ancient British tradition, but stabbing them, shooting them and blowing them up with bombs kind of changes the perspective on political assault, doesn't it?

Britain is a big country. There's always one nutter. But I'm talking the big picture here. How often do you see non-lefties hating their opponents and making such personal attacks? It's rare - and that tells us something. Don't forget that three Leave voters were murdered by enraged Remainers after the referendum

How could I forget something that didn't happen.

There is nothing new about objects being thrown at politicians. During the 1970 campaign Harold Wilson was hit on several occasions by eggs thrown at him. In 1966 a schoolboy at a public meeting managed to hit him with a stink bomb.

Or better still, don't post it in the first place.

In 1966 a schoolboy at a public meeting managed to hit him with a stink bomb. In the last 8 years, two MPs have been killed by politically motivated lunatics. If you and others cannot see how that has changed the paradigm then you are an idiot.

I know full well what happened to Jo Cox. I also know full well how Remainers calculated possible advantage from it. Revolting You failed miserably to mention that she was murdered by a far right supporter. I didn't raise the subject of her. That was Strontium. But neither does the example negate my claim of the propensity to hatred being far stronger on the left. If you read up the thread you'll see that I was raising the subject of hatred and incivility towards Farage. That may give you some helpful context
