Carswell has endorsed Farage. There's some really good advice in there actually, although I can't see Farage having the temperament to go local. Carswell for all his faults clearly loved Clacton and Farage may get to that point, but there's a good chance he won't and he will only have four weeks to do it. If nothing else, Farage will put Clacton on the map. Maybe the Tories will offer some pork for the area (Jaywick could use it).

The Tories aren’t going to give Jaywick a single quid, mostly because they won’t control the purse after July.

i wouldn't encourage the mods to go to Clacton. There's always trouble with the rockers when that happens.

How many of them actually vote in Clacton? in 1960 JFK said to Nixon: Nowhere do I get bigger crowds but fewer votes than in Cleveland.

I’m in the happy to see Reform aid in the reformation of the right, but not as the main party of the right category. The Tories deserve to lose, but the British people deserve an opposition from the right, especially one that is not 70% chav. Reform could get a wide variety of support. Thugs, bully-boys, psychopaths, sacked policemen, security guards, sacked security guards, racialists, Paki-bashers, queer-bashers, Chink-bashers, anybody-bashers, rear Admirals, queer admirals, Vice Admirals, fascists, neo-fascists, crypto-fascists, loyalists, neo-loyalists, crypto-loyalists. (That's really not fair on Reform, apart from the security guards, just an opportunity to use that quote) Calm down dear. It might not happen.

A woman has thrown a drink over Farage at his campaign launch.
This is from the BBC:
"The woman, who would only give her name as Victoria, tells the BBC she didn't come down to Farage's launch to throw the liquid, but "just felt like it. "He doesn't stand for me, he doesn't represent anything believe in, or any of the people around here."He doesn't represent us, he's not from here."
If only there was some way of expressing that he doesn't stand for you. Maybe like a vote or something.

A yob who should be made an example of. With Amess, Cox etc., anyone who attacks a political figure should be dealt with swiftly and severely.

Further up the thread I wrote of the hatred that wokies feel for Farage. In the light of today's attack on Farage I should have added intolerance and violence. It only comes from one side of the political spectrum. #BeKind

Ah, the old "doesn't stand for me, doesn't represent anything believe in, or any of the people around here, doesn't represent us, not from here" so I attacked him in the street. If we're going to re-visit this absurd "milk-shaking" craze from 2019 then I hope charges will be pressed wherever possible - it's not okay to assault someone just because you don't want to vote for them. (Though I fully expect the usual suspects from the hard-left to come back out of the woodwork - both here and in the media - to defend it.) Edit: Note that last time the perpetrator was convicted: www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2019/jun/18/nigel-farage-milkshake-attacker-pleads-guilty-to-common-assault
