Labour are lucky that the Boundary Commission cracked Basildon in 2010 to have it in two seats, since Billericay would be a safer blue seat than this for Dick Holden. No they aren't. Labour would much prefer to have a seat solely made up of the New Town that would be at worst semi-marginal in an even year, rather than one seat we need a decent national lead in to win and another we can only take in landslide conditions. |

I see. South Basildon & East Thurrock is a sleeper Reform gain I reckon that's going under the radar, Really good demographics for Nigel Farage's party there. |

It's disappointing that the excellent YouTube channel "The Iain Duncan-Smiths" haven't done a satire based on Holden's adventures in Billericay using this song so far. There's a lot of lines from the original that could be applied to Holden: "taken to the cleaners and other misdemeanours" "I ain't a blinking thickie" "I'm (not) doing very well" "You ask Jez and Rishi, if I ever took the micky" etc |
