Three thoughts on this: - Meloni is holding her popularity and Salvini clearly is not. - The new PD regime does not seem to be kicking on. - The Renew parties are all led by people who don't play nicely with the other kids, and so their vote is horribly splintered.

Is that a bit of a PS revival in France?

Some months ago i saw en passant an opinionPoll (of BidiMedia?) detecting a sharp deCline in trust for Mrs.Meloni (or just her government?). But perhaps some personal popularity has remained? Or is it only a weak opPosition?

Is that a bit of a PS revival in France? Quite possibly. The NUPES thing couldn't hold for a vote like this. An opportunity for the PS to re-assert its role as the mass party of the Left?

For want of a better place to put it, the staff of the ECB are apparently very angry with Lagarde, as useless and political appointment to the job as imaginable. Staff surveys hint at an air of mutiny.

I am going to feel a little bit disappointed when I watch the coverage of the Euros on EuroNews and France 24 this year, knowing that because 37% of the UK electorate believed the lies they were told, I, as someone who voted in every single European election I was able to (1994 - 2019) and a fully committed supporter of the European project will be denied my right to express my views on the European Union. Its the worst form of politics to believe that everyone who disagrees with you is an idiot. And whatever side you are on, its not true.

Its the worst form of politics to believe that everyone who disagrees with you is an idiot. Any whatever side you are on, its not true. Yes this is an important general point and why I read websites like this, and newspapers that don't reflect my views. It is a conundrum why people who are obviously intelligent and thoughtful can come to such different conclusions as me. I want to try and understand why. Having said which, there are plenty of idiots in the world, and some of them are on this site.

If you're on the opposing side to Harry on any given issue, it probably is true..

Its a matter of what kind of society you want to live in.

The German media have noted that Von der Leyen keeps referring to when she ran for her office in 2019. Of course, this is a rather ridiculous rewriting of history by the Phil Neville of European politics.

That'll teach you for displaying a CSU logo. CDU, surely!? Old Franz Josef was CSU, but infamously suggested he might run CSU candidates in the rest of Germany. He backed down when he was told the CDU would do the same in every direct seat, which put the frighteners on him.
