In this by-election there is a polling station that has only 15 eligible electors, for the tiny bit of Winterbourne parish that is in Kingswood constituency.

Absolutely foul weather this evening, doing a third knock up in the rain as much fun as it sounds. But the great & the good getting wet as well, good selection of MPs & council leaders.
Came across a group of Tories doing door to door canvassing, which did seem a little late ….

It's ridiculous that a polling station has to stay open when there's been 100% turnout. They should follow the example of Dixville Notch.

The official reason of course is that a postal voter from anywhere in the constituency could bring their completed ballot to that polling station. But yes I agree.

It is, but it’s highly unlikely that a polling station would reach 100% turnout in this day and age. Even one with so few electors.

Or there could have been personation and the rightful voter may come along later.
