I have seen a report that the Reform candidate tweeted about the very good reception he got in Irthlingborough (spelling?) this morning. And that said town isn't in the constituency. Not sure of its veracity. He tweeted a video of himself standing in Irthlingborough town centre praising his support. By the sounds of it he has a bus that he's using to get around, so by the looks of it he stopped off to record the video - Irthlingborough is on the way between Finedon and Rushden (and both of those are in the constituency). He doesn't explicitly say that he's speaking from anywhere in Wellingborough itself. the Earthlings' borough get added to the seat at the review, so maybe he's already campaigning for the ge?

You don't watch GBN, do you? They're not the 'up the Tories!' channel you think they are. Correct I don’t, but I do know that Mr Peter Bone being replaced by a 27 year Labour wokest charity worker activist will go down wonderfully should it happen. They haven't even mentioned that. They've interviewed Ben Habib and Jonathan Reynolds. They've just been talking about grooming gangs, and before that antisemitism. Labour's candidate hasn't been mentioned.

(Genuine question) Also, if the principle opposition haven’t been mentioned that speaks volumes about the balance of their reporting.

On Labour, they interviewed Reynolds, as we know he's a Labour Shadow Cabinet member, and they did ask him about Wellingborough. They also have Tory Bob Seely MP on. GBN is not Fox. It is right of centre in the evenings, but it's not what you think it is. Genuinely.

s friend of mine loves it, he hates the tories Yes, it's very critical of the Conservatives. To be fair, it tends to be critical from a right-wing perspective, but it's critical nonetheless. Of course it criticises and sometimes laughs at the Conservatives! It is a right-wing channel and despises many of them.

Ian Warren involved in this. If it's the guy I'm thinking of he used to run a very interesting twitter and worked for Ed Miliband and UKIP in Heywood and Middleton He also used to be the host of the Previews.

One might, in retrospect and without having seen the police or care case files, wonder if grooming gangs were involved in the disappearance and presumed murder of Sarah Benford, albeit that's more relevant to Kettering and Northampton than Wellingborough itself.

Peter Bone might turn up at the count. Sadly, I'll be in bed, but hopefully it'll cause a stir.

I think what bothers me is it comes across as quite partisan. It's perhaps hyperbole but it's like Novara of the right I can see that. I'd say Channel 4 News and some BBC is probably the equivalent. However, I get where you're coming from. I think the hard news bit in the day is much more balanced, but the evening shows like 'Patrick Christys' is undeniably right of centre - and I say that as a fan of that show. Though, to defend it, there's always at least one leftist on. Tonight, Christys has a former Ed Miliband adviser Matthew Laza and they give as good as they get, which is why they're on I suspect. I've stated listening to LBC a lot. I disagree with everybody on it but I think they all do good interviews and coverage is fair and balanced. One thing that grates me though is the way James O'Brien starts a segment by saying 'i think this but I could be wrong', the first caller inevitably says 'i agree with you...' and James hits the 'but I think you might have got this wrong'. Poor caller 'but I was calling to agree with you'...

Nick Delves has just phoned back and says the count is this evening. By the way, when Nick phoned I also spoke briefly to Alan Hope, who says that his legs have recovered fully since last time.

38.1% turnout. Means we might be going a bit faster than anticipated?

38.1% turnout. Means we might be going a bit faster than anticipated? The last Wellingborough by election in December 1969 saw turnout abovr 75%!

Yet again they are annoying us by telling us that the turnout was ab.c% (in this case 38.1%) instead of telling us that it was ab,cde. Does anybody know what the turnout was as a number?

As you have observed, I am capable of getting annoyed, but I must confess that this is not something which annoys me.
