Just realised how perfectly divided the student areas of Newcastle have been. Jesmond in North, Heaton/Ouseburn in East, and the city centre/Arthur’s Hill in West. They were awkwardly divided under the old boundaries but at least that was only between 2 constituencies.

Interesting to note here that the primary successor seat to East Devon isn't in the top 20, even though the current seat has long featured very close to the top of these tables.
Can it be explained by the very oldest East Devon constituents being moved mainly into Honiton & Sidmouth rather than Exmouth and Exeter East? Or has there been greater demographic change in the area, making it more youthful in general?

Yes, the very oldest are in Sidmouth. There might have been a bit of demographic change in Exmouth, but it’s more that Most of the Exeter East bit is pretty young I suspect.

Yes, the very oldest are in Sidmouth. There might have been a bit of demographic change in Exmouth, but it’s more that Most of the Exeter East bit is pretty young I suspect. There's also the new developments at Cranbrook - just 3.4% of residents there are over 65, which is lower even than most inner cities or university areas. While Cranbrook isn't huge that is such a low percentage that it reduces the figures for the seat as a whole considerably.

Although I can imagine many seats in Scotland and Northern Ireland will have a higher % of white residents.

Harrow East must be one of few numbers of minority-majority constituencies held by the Tories. Locally, the Tories hold Slough (albeit under minority control). Though not marginal, the Tories have also made significant inroads into Leicester East; this was highlighted by strong 2023 local election results in that particular constituency. With the right candidate, I would not rule out the ultimate surprise gain in the 2024/25 GE.
