I thought they had been claimed, but if they are not forthcoming I'd be prepared to have a go at the Bristol seats. I believe there are at least three people in line to do Bristol. If no-one's even started posting them within a couple of weeks I'm inclined to say 'first come ...' |

I have two more other seats to do- Cardiff East and Tewkesbury - then I was planning to do whatever is left of the Bristols. The original Bristol profiles are very good so provide a very sound base. My Bristol knowledge probably goes in the order of Central, South, North West, East so if anyone wanted to do East or North West, that would be ideal. |

I am working on Chipping Barnet as we speak and should have that up in the next day or two, after which I will complete the remaining Bedfordshire seats (and therefore the Eastern region). I have been unexpectedly busy with other things this January..

Should get South Shrops done by Wednesday because I've got a damned fine base from Richard and some very helpful comments to work off, so I'd be looking at Walsall & Bloxwich by about the 16th-18th.

An update - that I myself am currently adding Rallings & Thrasher notionals (Wales and NE England completed), and also any other stats eg census, if they are not there already. That will keep me busy, but I shall also update any of the 24 remaining constituencies such as the last five in SE London if no one else does them. I believe the remaining 19 have been claimed and promised by John Chanin (3), Pete Whitehead (4), ClevelandYorks (2), bungle (1), andrewp (4), WJ (2) iainbhx (1) and East Anglian Lefty (2). Please advise if this is wrong. I shall keep producing updates on this thread. I said I'd give greenchristian a fortnight, but he hasn't in fact logged in for nearly a month. I have downloaded all the necessary data for Coventry updates, and expect to have these done on Monday and Tuesday. |

This has crossover with another thread relating to incorrect naming and possible dementia. This is another example of weak associative dysphasia in that your synapses locked on to a nodal word 'Lefty' and that has grabbed for the associative names most used previously by you. I do find such matters very interesting. |

I did get a decent pint of Banks' Mild but that's not that difficult. The pub itself was very local. I did, however, also wander to the Victoria in Walsall which had a lovely pint of Butty Bach. |

Thank yo so much iainbhx , not only for your excellent profiles but for keeping us well informed and doing what you said you would do!  That completes the West Midlands except for the two constituencies slightly tentatively allocated to WJ . I quote the latest discussion on this from the regional 'to-do' thread: Thanks all. I suggest that WJ is the best person to do Shrewsbury and North Shropshire, and goes ahead with these, but if not completed within say the next month that they be opened up to others (in which case experience tells me I shall probably end up doing them!) 'liked' that post so if we do not hear anything from him, or any other bidders, I shall indeed add this two seats to my own list after 23 February, in practice to be done after I've finished the remaining two no one else wanted in (SE) London. Of course I'd rather someone more local to Shropshire did actually do them. Overall situation updated in my two progress posts above in this thread (13 to go). North Shropshire is a long way away (a 2 hour drive to Oswestry) and I couldn't possibly venture a profile of an area I haven't visited in 50 years without a visit. However I am a little bored and could possibly spend a long day in north Shropshire next week. Not sure whether I'd do a better job than you though. |
