Interesting that Johnny Mercer is doing the media circuit as the ‘sacrificial lamb’ taking the bruises - even if Uxbridge makes it a bit of an easier task. Makes him seem more of a party animal.

This is fun. At the start of the night, we were sort-of assuming that
Somerton & Frome would be gained by Lib Dem Uxbridge & South Ruislip would be gained by Labour Selby & Ainsty was the uncertain one, with a large swing required by Labour
but now we are bored waiting for Selby & Ainsty to limp in last after the exciting result from the other two.
