I thought it was going to be more like 78-22 (a majority of 56 rather than 46) but I predicted 73-27 in order to cover a greater range of possibilities.

I think you may have underestimated the Tory resistance in this case, given just how strongly Tory Tisbury was in normal times and that they had an above-average candidate. I was a bit concerned, even though I knew something of the strength of the LD by-election campaign, that I night have overestimated the majority, which indeed I did but only by 2%.

robbienicoll For the various multi vacancy elections this Thursday, can I just have a reminder/ clarification of the rules for the prediction comp for multi member elections. Do we do top vote per party?

robbienicoll For the various multi vacancy elections this Thursday, can I just have a reminder/ clarification of the rules for the prediction comp for multi member elections. Do we do top vote per party? Top vote per party and specify the winners of the seats please (unique situation with the 3 seat wards which hasn't happened since 2019 apparently - wrong winner faults will add to 9.99 rather than 10). Scotland as always specify both first preference winner and winner after transfers.

Should also mention I will be in Budapest from Thursday to Sunday evening, so won't have an opportunity to post the results until Monday. If Robert Waller is able to make sense of the above rules hopefully his interim results will keep everyone updated until I get back!
