The Romanov princesses (Or at least descendants) That theory was debunked years ago. Yes well I suppose the “dead person turns out to be dead” thread wouldn’t be as entertaining.

The Munich Air Disaster victims. They just didn’t want to play for Man U anymore and faked their deaths?

Isn't Sir Bobby literally the only 'survivor' that is actually still alive now?
I guess it's possible Duncan Edwards survived and escaped from Germany, disguised as a trio of Italian chefs, before starting a new life as a Morris Dancing teacher.

There were such theories floating around about Emiliano Sala: that he'd faked his death to avoid signing for Cardiff after pocketing the signing on fee. There are other mad theories that he was murdered and the pilot (whose body was never found) was in on it and sky dived out.

Yes, he is certainly the only football related survivor now. One of the air hostesses on the plane was still alive a few years ago, and possibly one other passenger.

Another Russian one is of course Rasputin, the details on whose assassination are murky, and from what I can tell - was badly botched.
Obviously, the mad monk couldn’t possibly be alive now, but he could have lived into the 1930s or 40s.

I don't think I saw either film.

It's all myth though - Rasputin got shot. All the "failing to die and eventually dumped in the river" stuff comes from Yusupov's memoirs, which are justifying the assassination by presenting Rasputin as this demonic creature, which therefore makes the assassination OK.

Margaret Thatcher seems to come back from the dead quite often, especially whenever there is a Conservative leadership contest.

Harold Holt didn't drown, he suffered from amnesia and lived out the rest of his days in a quiet Melbourne cul-de-sac.
