Does anybody have any news Somewhat confusingly Jason Zadrozny of the Ashfield Independents originally Tweeted those numbers as Collingham, Nottinghamshire, implying the County Division, but has now put out a second, more clear Tweet.

It is the county division. What's confusing about it? My eyesight (I’m now working sans glasses as nobody has yet developed a ventilator face mask that allows the wearing of glasses at the same time) missing the word “county” in the Tweet, and Zadrozny putting the same figures in a Tweet just referring to the District council.

Just flagging there's a boob in the Southmead writeup because Bristol NW is held for Labour by the estimable Darren Jones.

the spectacular Conservative gain in Wigston is another example of a council with a longstanding monolithic majority (in this case for the Lib Dems) seeing a very big swing against it in a by-election. Other recent examples are Leicester which of course is next door, and Manchester. It may be that these results are connected, but of course there could be other specific local reasons for each result and we shouldn't consider these results as connected in any way.

It was one of the stronger Tory wards, but it's still a wake-up call.
