Labour will be desperate to avoid a by election in that seat. The chances of a Muslim Indy gain would be very high. Five parties exceeded 10% there in the last general election! Think the Lib Dems would take it seriously, it's one of their better prospects in the West Midlands. |

We'd probably have a go, but it would be between Labour and the Taliban Trundler with a possibility of someone coming through the middle. |

Oh we would have a go, but I can't see any chance of there being a by-election on the current basis. But people might be interested to know that a generic "thank you" leaflet is making its way round the constituency from Jody McIntyre, the WP candidate - there's nothing overtly inflammatory as such, but it is very much appealing to the Muslim section of the electorate, and attacking Labour. Currently the constituency has 8 Lib Dem councillors and 2 Labour - expect to see that on a bar chart if / when the time comes
