The most millennial ward? If the 2011 census figure of "94% were aged between 18 and 29" is broadly similar now, and let's face it most of them are going to be in the younger half of that bracket, it's now the most Gen Z ward. Some millennials are now hitting their 40s and waving their own children off to university!

How did everyone miss these I guess an independent can resign with almost no noise. Unless other local politicians or parties draw attention to it, or there's something newsworthy enough for the local press to run a story, it can be almost silent.

Not according to the SOPN. It is possible now to stand for election with the endorsement of two parties. This candidate is not.

Is the intent to have candidates standing as The Common Ground Alliance or as in this case as Plaid Cymru - The Party of Wales without a Green Party opponent?

Not according to the SOPN. It is possible now to stand for election with the endorsement of two parties. This candidate is not. Totally agree with this. If running dual-endorsement, do so. (The Green Party constitution permits this, if a valid request to do so is accepted.) If running as a non-partisan alliance, do so. If running as a bonkers idea of "we are all different to that other lot, that makes us good, and a press release proves it", then....oh.

The Association of Electoral Administrators put out a tweet every Thursday morning wishing good luck to all returning officers and staff running polls that day. They missed North Kesteven as well.

No millennials are hitting 40 yet, that starts on 1st Jan next year (I speak as a back end Gen Xer who's younger sister is a very early millennial and can attest that those extra couple of years made a lot of difference...).

The figures are based on the old ward which was the pre-expansion campus. IIRC the expanded ward took in the south west expansion of the campus, a significant chunk of which is Graduate College. ISTR from past discussions that there are a few staff who live on the campus and I'm not sure how many people actually live in the Scotforth Rural bit (I presume the planned development hasn't happened yet?).

How did everyone miss these TBH, I think it's pretty impressive that this doesn't happen more often.

Are you going off the link here? If so it might work if you go directly to britainelects.com and then follow the link from the homepage (it’s pretty close to the bottom). If that doesn’t work maybe try another browser, or clear your cache on the browser you’re using?
