15,945 rounded to the nearest whole number. Is 15,946 not a whole number? Damn, I didn't get taught that at my pre-1292 university college. Yes it is, but 66354*0.2403=15,944.8662 which rounds up to 15,945.

The turnout is only given to two decimal places, so could be anything below 24.035% but not below 24.025%. Which would mean somewhere between 15,942 and 15,948 votes (inclusive). As already posted by someone who understands psephology, and arithmetic.

How delightful would it be if the elected candidate used her speech to confirm she’s sending in a 1922 letter.

Hopefully the actual number of votes cast will be known soon, along with the (likely unusually high) number of spoiled ballot papers.

In which case, you do an excellent impersonation of someone who understands neither. Chapeau!

Conservative candidate is in the hall and the counting staff are going through spoiled ballots so we are not far away.

No TV coverage isnt this just the sort of thing that the Parliament channel would be ideal for? Couple of talking heads in a small studio, a graphics panel and a few politicians to spin the result etc. Instead theyre showing footage of the House of Lords earlier today

So about 16000 votes, are we thinking around 10000 for Tories and 6000 spread amongst the other candidates?
