I'm alluding to the lack of ability to be able to actually commit to a club. Instead it's a commodity that people flit between clubs in a desperate attempt for success... I am and always have been committed to Arsenal on all and every occasion. But when living elsewhere I see no harm in support for my local club, as well, in matches usually not involving Arsenal. Why are you so very bitter and vituperative and nasty about whom I choose to support? What on earth has it to do with you? Oh the irony...

I am not bitter, unhappy or in a melt-down over the position of others at all. I am a happy and contented person who amuses himself here for a few hours each day inhabiting a carefully constructed persona. Whereas many of you really are very bitter, upset and unhappy. I genuinely don't know why you are all unhappy and so very bitter. And of course I don't care and don't need to know the reasons. You are the useful grist to my daily mill. Without you I might be reduced to watching sci-fi on daytime TV!

There are plenty of reasons why someone might have more than one sporting allegiance There are, but in the world of football they will always get a lot of stick from "true fans", so if you choose this route, criticism is an occupational hazard. Tribal behaviour characterised by throwing insults at adherents of other persuasions is perhaps also the province of "Lefties". Just human nature I guess!

Yeah, well Carlton & self awareness are rather mutually exclusive concepts... Au contraire. I am one of the most self aware people on this Forum. I know myself inside out and in general I am comfortable in my skin as I am. Most of you have an entire illusion as to what I really am. I know because I very carefully constructed that illusion and put a lot of work into it. Many of you are narrow minded bigots of a modernist persuasion and bears of very little brain. A person of genuine complexity does tend to cause you quite a degree of upset.

Yet when I suggested a few weeks ago that you were playing a character of your own making you had a hissy - well, one of you did. PS There's a huge difference between complexity and malice.

I don't think you quite get 'complexity' do you? The main problem many of you have is an overt tendency to literealism and a failure to embrace ambiguity.

I tried to embrace ambiguity yesterday but the instructions were a bit confusing and I may have done it wrong.

Carlton - the description you threw at another, and which I felt was ironic, was 'bitter, vituperative and nasty'.
You fiercely denied being angry, but then no-one thinks or said you are angry... nice try at deflection though!
But now you have confirmed your pro-active choice to construct and deploy a rather nasty, bitter persona on this website that is deliberately antagonistic and actively seeks to offend others.
It's amusing that you claim this persona to be a stark contrast to your true blithe, happy-go-lucky character - but it lacks credibility. Genuinely well-balanced people rarely feel a need to go to some lengths to actively upset those they don't even know.
So 'bitter, vituperative and nasty' from you rather fits the bill as ironic.
But, if you're being honest with yourself, it's all a bit sad and pathetic to be constructing false personas on fringe websites just to try to upset a few people you've never met...

There is no manual for ambiguity because it is an art an not a science.

You just don't have a way with words do you? They seem to have more a way with you : And not in a good way!

We now have over 2 pages of this tiresome drivel.
Has anyone actually got anything to say about these election results?
