So the competition is simple, where will the next by election for the Westminster Parliament be held? Make your prediction and we will see who wins as and when. Right seat is worth 100 points, adjacent seat (e.g. you said Portsmouth North and its Portsmouth South) is worth 75 points, same county 50 points, same region 25 points. The competition closes when a writ is moved.

It might be unseemly to discuss it, but Talbot Buxomly isn't in the best of health.

On the rules of this competition, it’s tempting to go for Oldham West and Royton as an each way bet on the grounds that it borders both Rochdale and Blackley and Broughton

A mediocre Labour MP in a Greater Manchester seat persuaded to resign and take up some cushy job elsewhere, so that Burnham can run in an easy-win seat. I'll go with Wythenshawe & Sale East.
