Interesting that only one of the fourteen candidates across the four by-elections has opted to hide their address on the SOPN and ballot paper. Is it just coincidence or the areas being contested or has the option to hide the address proved unsatisfactory given the alternative is "address in the authority" as opposed to "address in the ward"?

In my experience the people most likely to hide their address are 1) Female councillors who have been trolled on social media 2) Candidates who live outside the ward. Looks like there are only three female candidates, no idea re. Point 2)

Plaid have only ever stood in Graig once- in 1999. One of the least fertile parts of Wales for them. Indeed. Is this the only Welsh council without any Plaid councillors? In Cardiff, they all defected to Neil McEvoy's cult party. Their one in BG elected in 2017 became independent.
They also have none on Monmouthshire, Torfaen, Merthyr Tydfil, Swansea and Flintshire councils.

Good to see railways featuring strongly! I was thinking that the opening of Pye Corner station on the Ebbw Vale line could also have featured!

Pye Corner station is in Rogerstone division, not Graig, so it's off-topic.
The previews normally go off to Britain Elects on Wednesday afternoons these days, it might be a bit of a stretch to have them published the same evening.

I think that's the first Labour gain from Conservative since Whaley Bridge in February 2020.
