Robert1 is saying this as a MP. He's following the government whip on the matter. He's a Lord. Quoted in the Telegraph article above to boot...

Robert1 is saying this as a MP. He's following the government whip on the matter. Then he needs to learn not to treat the public as fools....

And what’s wrong with wearing a mak (sic)? Would you prefer people get wet, or do you have shares in an anorak manufacturer?

robert1 is one of the few - only? - members of the Other Place who posts here in good manner and politeness, particularly since the terrible and tragic passing of tonygreaves. We should, I think, treat him as we did Lord Greaves.

We should, I think, treat him as we did Lord Greaves. There are plenty on here who treated Lord Greaves with a lot less respect than he deserved, but being Tony he would have just shrugged it off. I am sure our one remaining member of the upper house is able to do likewise.

So in effect the Scottish Lib Dems are to the Tories what the Scottish Greens are to the SNP.

With respect, the SGreens are basically trading as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the SNP. Any non-independence supporting Greens really ought to get off that bus now.

The problem for the Scottish Lib Dems is any non-unionist liberal has already got off the bus and are unlikely to get back on it with Cole Hamilton driving it.
