Labour Councillor Fazila Loonat who represents Batley East ward on Kirkless Council has been jailed for 14 weeks for attempting to pervert the course of justice . Is that the national organisation of Scottish atheists? ;-)

Northumberland councillor Holly Waddell has had her expulsion from Labour confirmed, without being granted a hearing. She had joined the independent group on the council, which maybe didn't help her cause.
Her ward, named Bywell, but actually mainly the large village of Wylam, has become a favoured domicile of university lecturers, teachers and council officials, etc. over the years. So it's become less automatically Tory.
Some years ago the popular incumbent Labour councillor Paul Kelly was deselected on the grounds that he wasn't a woman. He stood nevertheless as an independent and held the seat as such for as long as he pleased. It then reverted to Tory. Holly Waddell regained it for Labour in 2021.
There must be the possibilty that Holly Waddell will follow in Paul Kelly's footsteps.

It's the area on the SW of the city, barely part of Birmingham, best known for having formerly been the site of the asylum. I think he's been suspended for a while, but it's just been announced that it's imminently coming to court

Great Park is typical 80s housing estate.

Frankley services is great though for one reason. No-one goes there so the EV charger is always free.

I'm in support of this suspension. Remember, this is the film which Unite the Union have forbidden to be shown in any of their buildings, and they are hardly known as an anti-Corbyn union. It's a rotten film which liberally draws on antisemitic conspiracy theories.

Seems weird he was suspended for attending the event rather than giving them money for it

Paul Kelly was deselected on the grounds that he wasn't a woman. In the days when Labour could define woman. Those days are about to return

It's a rotten film which liberally draws on antisemitic conspiracy theories. Personally I wouldn’t go to see the film and have very, very strong disagreements with the views of some of the participants. But there has to be a limit on the restrictions on free speech, or rather free watching, in the Labour Party. What if someone watches it in their own home? Is that permissible? What if another family member reports them for watching it?
