Come friendly bombs and fall on Slough If one considers this Pantelic be too rough The downside worry could make her cough And electors will have more causes though To shake a stick at and get them to the trough But surely good Slough burghers cannot be bought No more will I travel to Peterboruff or Luffboruff.... That must be the 'Slow Bombs' that frequently fell at Random rather than Lugerbaruger or indeed at Archieandrews!

This is going to degenerate into "who can oppose HS2 the hardest" isn't it?

Well that explains his scepticism about ricmk's suggestion LOL. And I like the way that 3 people have voted for a Green gain here, and 2 for a Labour one. And. no, I'm definitely not on of those voters, I think it is pretty nailed on for the Conservatives.

While I'm not going to get back into a debate we have had on this forum numerous times, it is very easy to oppose a scheme the benefits of which coud be written on the back of a train ticket. Having a conversation on twitter at the moment with someone who opposes HS2 because . . . It runs through a wood that might have inspired* someone to write a children's book about a fox. * The anti-HS2 folk say so; the museum devoted to the memory of said author says he was inspired by a specific (long-gone) tree near a completely different wood. Such is the quality of anti-HS2 thought these days . . .

Would be interesting to know his role at HS2. I sense an opening for a candidate who says "Like it or not, HS2 is happening. Now let's talk about jobs, housing, the environment, health, education . . ."

Now let's talk about jobs, housing, the environment, health, education . . ."

But meanwhile here are some things to do now, like increasing international aid to deal with the pandemic and the consequences of global warming, stopping the hostile environment for foreigners arriving in the UK, and keeping all our current (EU) rules that protect the workforce, protect food safety, and the environment, rather than burning regulations to help global capital

Refuk! Brilliant! Once was not enough Haven't you seen that before? It's been in use for over six months - this seems to be the earliest use on Twitter: It's been given more attention by polls posted on Twitter following this vote:
