[Perhaps the administrator/moderators could be so kind to merge this thread with that of "L. Landtag election 2017"?]

All "psephological" eyes are fixated on this SunDay's election in Liechtenstein... German-speakers can find out, which party fits to them best here: www.wahlhilfe.li/wahlhilfe/Here are the profiles of the parties' candidates, each time for the more industrial UpperLand (closer to VU, L.'s FiannaFail) and the once more rural LowerLand (of "FineGael" FBP) [top: "open ForeignPolicy", then "lib. economy", right: is obvious, law&o. also obvious, bottom: restrictive migration, extended environmentalism, left: social state, lib. society]: FBP-UpperLand: FBP-LowerLand: VU-UpperLand: VU-LowerLand: FL-UpperLand (Greens): FL-LowerLand: DemocraticUnion/DU-UpperLand (only 2/3 candidates participating): DU-LowerLand (3/3): DemocratsProL./DpL-LowerLand, a BreakAway of DU (3/8 partic.): DpL-UpperLand did not take part.

An OpinionPoll 2017 asked for parties' positions on a left-right-axis (bright = all voters, medium = party by its voters, dark = voters themselves); revealing, that especially the voters on the fringes (DU&FL) don't want to be labelled as "left/right-radical": How the 2017 elected candidates positioned themselves in the Elec.guide posted above (www.wahlhilfe.li), once again demonstrating a reluctance of DU to come out as "rightradical": The founder of DU was not expelled from VU for xenophobic remarks, but for rather personal reasons. Also DU seems to have focussed 2017 more on "another style" while having rather diffuse policies. (Perhaps in order to gain as many ProtestVotes as possible?) This time their candidates gave quite clear responses, though.

In few minutes the PollingStations will close. (They will have been open no longer than 90 minutes...)

A member of "Liechtenstein Institut <for 'politology'>" expected no major changes between the 3 camps. (I personally cannot image, that the xenophobic bloc can hold its 18.4% from last time.) He forcast a close race of FBP and VU and meant, that the defectors of DpL might perform better than their MotherParty DU, which could fail to pass the 8%-threshold.

The PM retires and thus FBP nominated a female diplomat. While it is usual in FL, that GovernmentMembers haven't been MPs, it is still a risky strategy.

If CH should join one day, FL will probably be treated siilar to Andorra & Monaco (too small for becoming a full member, but being included). The House of Liechtenstein will have the final decision, though.

Third of 11 municipalities: VU will surely end as the strongest party.

Fifth: Seems to be decided in favour of VU (although "the cities" aren't in yet).
