Mato Grosso do Sul- Conservative state representative Renan Contar (PRTB) is slightly favoured over right leaning Eduardo Reidel (PSDB). First race call, and it’s a win for Reidel. The polls significantly underestimated him, I assume that Teresa Cristina’s support helped him.

Probably the most right wing Tuscan I have ever seen tbh, he run with the support of Teresa Cristina and Bolsonaro (who kinda supported both him and Contar) and consistently attacked his party for not being right leaning enough.

almost crossover time 50.2% to 49.8% at 56% count should be noted that unlike in the first round, a lot of the remaining votes are from the south and south East.

And, as if by magic, the Guardian live blog on the election has an advert for a language programme called Toucan.

It looks like Bolsonaro has flipped Amapa.

I just had a polling report from Recife- which was reckoning that voting was very slow- blaming the heat and that people would rather "pay the fine than turn out" in the heat. If at all general would probably favour Bolsonaro, but maybe it happens all the time.

Lula now ahead.
Surely that’s game over.

Lula takes the lead at just under 70% of the count, very similar to the first round it would appear

I think Lula is going to win by less than 2%. In the words of the late, great, David Penhaligon: "One vote is all it takes".

There's resisting arrest but throwing grenades at the police?

Even Bolsonaro didn’t want anything to do with him BEFORE the (unjust) arrest warrant.
