Boundary changes in 2017 were fairly minor – North gained a bit from Centre and lost a bit more to South and went from 4 to 3 councillors. Previous results:

Liz Barrett and Tricia Davis stood here for their respective parties at the last by-election. Elspeth MacLachlan was the top placed independent in Perth City North (see above) in 2017, but the Green candidate in the Perth City South by-election later that year. She had previously been SNP councillor for Perth City North from 2007 to 2017. It should be noted that in the last by-election, the Lib Dems came quite close to eliminating the Tories (the eventual winners) at stage 2 and would almost certainly have taken the seat had they done so.
