Nice to see I got so close with Dawley Magna. Pity I got just about everything else wrong.

A good week for me for a change . Now hope that everyone else forgets there is a contest on Tuesday LOL Congratulations Mark on a very convincing win this week! Also, for mentioning the Tuesday 19th byelection which I may well not have noticed. This is partly because there is no thread in 'local byelections for the 19th. Indeed, looking at the threads for the 21st and 28th, there do not seem to be the helpful comprehensive lists of contests that have previously been given by Greatkingrat. Unless these are elsewhere and I have missed them, I suggest it will be hard for whoever predicts first to be sure they have the full list of byelections and candidates. It would be very helpful if someone could list all the byelections on these days in single posts - or could I be directed to where this has been done, if it has?

There is a thread under Local Elections - By-elections ahead of May 2013 which lists all the known by-elections called and pending.

Yes, I see, thanks ME. However it still doesn't seem to have the very convenient lists of candidates and parties all in one place (and previous election results) that GKR's threads started with.* I do think that if putative contestants will now be expected to find information like this from vaarious sources, or research it themselves, the number with the time to do so may be severely reduced. *By the way, I suspect that GKR has decided to cut down the amount of time he can devote to this site, judging by the to me extraordinary fact that this brilliant predictor has finished last in each of the last two weeks' contests. I must say thanks so much for the very valuable service he has provided, as mentioned above. I for one did not 'take it for granted', and am concerned about just how sorely it may be missed.

10 entries this week, with still no Casual Observer whilst Dibs failed to appear.
10 Conservative wins, technically a gain from an Independent, with 9 having a majority over the Lib Dems of between 4% (greatkingrat) and 24.2% (Pete Whitehead) whilst East Anglian Lefty has a 9% majority over UKIP.
