Can't remember, but I am talking further back than that, probably late in the last century. Ah. Probably at that point it was taken over by the brewery which I cannot remember the name of. Not sure whether it is the same place but there is a Bell Inn in the Wylye High Street. This is said to be a upmarket pub / restaurant that has recently reopened following a number of earlier closures.

Clever pick by the Conservatives in Till and Wylye Valley. While the candidate isn't local, he will be next election. All of Till and Wylye Valley (minus Wylye and Stteple Langford) will be joined with Woodford, Durnford and Wilsford cum Lake in a ward called Till Valley. Confusingly, there is also a Wylye Valley ward, which will include none of it (it's in fact a renamed Warminster Cophead and Wylye dropping the Warminster part).

Very good, but Staffa is miles away from Skye, and not in the ward being contested today. Maybe he was thinking of Scalpay?

There are times when I can’t even work my own mind out - I’ve just spent 10 minutes looking for results until I realised today was Thursday and not Friday - so I’m not going to start trying to read Andrew’s thought processes 😉

It's a lovely piece of music though. It certainly is, and I've played it many times. Soay of course has given its name to a breed of sheep.

Two results already declared. The Lib Dems have held Parrett and gained Welford-on-Avon.
Eilean a' Cheò is counting tomorrow.

Result for Welford-on-Avon? Not on Britain Elects yet. That's why I asked. (Alson not yet on ALDC Twitter, where I would expect it to be promoted, if accurate).

This weeks results feel like the Conservative’s worst local week for a while, perhaps since the general election. At least partly because there were no Conservative/ Labour contests this week.
