Spoiler: he's just as bonkers as you expect.
Peter is well known to me. And @fraser He is more to be pitied than scolded and is utterly deranged, which does not stop me trolling him with questions and requests for clarifications. He will be unaware of this but he was discussed on Aberdeenshire Councils Procedures Committee on which I sat until I was removed in a gross discourtesy by the Council leader at two days notice, after papers had been issued and I had made arrangements to attend, but six months after I should have been removed when I left the administration but he was too incompetent to get around to it. Anyway, Mr Dow, feil of this parish, spams all councillors with borderline libelous but clearly deranged missives of considerable length, causing one elected member to ask that his IP address be blocked. I spoke in Mr Dows favour, defending his right to free expression, and proposing that he instead be directed to the Spam folder, as this permitted him to communicate with councillors, permitted them to read him, and had the additional merit that it was an semantically accurate response. He is as mad a box of frogs and has been for decades. An example of Could Not Care Less in the Community "James XI"? Who were the five I don't know about?

"This is an underrepresented view in this country. Probably because it's lunacy. I wonder if he's involved with Lord Sudeley's monarchist outfit.

"Britain's most northerly veg box scheme"- andrewteale, I salute your love of bizarre trivia. I have no idea what to with that fact, but I'll remember it. Blame the quizbowl tournament I played in at the weekend for that. Once I was told about that factoid there was no way it wasn't going in the preview.

I would have thought "Britain's most northerly almost anything" would cover it?

Anyone know when we can expect the result to come in for Shetland? I'm guessing quite late.

This Peter Tait fella appears to be pro monarchy, he just wants it returned to Scotland!

Next question is whether any TV broadcasters will be covering it live.

Any reason why so late? The islands often declare early in the night, sometimes even coming in before anywhere else in Scotland.

I don't think Orkney, Shetland or Orkney & Shetland has ever declared particularly early. They're usually about average.

I don't think Orkney, Shetland or Orkney & Shetland has ever declared particularly early. They're usually about average. I seem to remember one Scottish election night when the SNP were getting all excited for the first result and it was one of the Northern Isles, leaving the poor SNP sod on the first hours' coverage trying to spin their way out of over eager predictions.
