Polls of the seats of London Polls of the seats of Birmingham I wonder to myself Could life ever be sane again? The lead of the Tories that slips down I wonder to myself Hopes may ride on the grassroots But, Tory guy, you're not safe here So you run down to the safety of the town But there's polls of the seats of Carlisle Dublin*, Dundee, Humberside I wonder to myself *Subs please check Is that meant to be the lyrics of a song? If so, what's the tune? I need to be able to sing it properly

Surrey Heath Lib Dems have tweeted to say that the MRP breakdown for their constituency feels about right.
We shall see.

Certainly no sign of the fabled "late Tory surge" there.

Certainly no sign of the fabled "late Tory surge" there. But not exactly Labour firming up!

Can Labour get above 40%? I repeat the answer to a similar question a bit ago - yes of course they *can*, the question is whether they will

Remember that most poll-to-poll movements are just blips. Survation have done four polls in this series for Good Morning Britain and the striking thing is mostly the stability: every one has shown Labour and the Conservatives as being +/- of 40% and 20% respectively. The Reform vote has also been +/- of 15% in all as well. In that case the order in which they've come does suggest movement (and to a different pattern to those seen - so far at least - from some other firms), but it might not.

IIRC Corbyn got 39.98% in 2017. Would be ironic if Starmer got a lower vote shore but a humungous majority!
