I'm sick of tossers like Smithson ramping these polls - they're always an anti-climax and/or a crock of shite That might be why he added "whatever that means" in his comment.

Oh, so this is one of MORI's 'special' polls? I suppose we were overdue one.

Is it a 'corker'? Is 'corker' a word that people even use in the real world?

Sky report an imminent poll showing Labour and the Tories in a dead heat. That appears to be ICM.

Outwith pollung data, I do get the impression that ukip are floundering a bit. I'm not sure. I get the impression things have settled down since the furore over Nigel Farages resignation. I would argue that the Greek crisis has shown that UKIP are right re the Euro/EU. Whilst the EUphiles are wrong. I think that will be so much more important in the long run than a few days bad headlines about Nigle Farages u-turn on his resignation.

The evidence for UKIP having settled down is not seen in local byelection results, which have shown the UKIP vote to be melting like snowballs in July.
