Well done to andrewp for stepping up to cover middleenglander's (hopefully temporary) absence. The summary looks good to me. Only criticism is that whilst you've edited out the link that the cut and paste added, you've forgotten to edit out the "read more" that came with it.

Could I make the suggestion that we ease middleenglander 's burden by splitting the country up into the eleven electoral regions and assign one person to each region (so that someone covers purely London, someone covers purely the South East and so on), that way if he wanted to do the West or East Midlands (as his name suggests) he could easily do so

Vacancy in Princes Park ward, Liverpool CC , after resignation on 27/08 I believe. Sorry, no further info. The missing councillor is Timothy Moore (Lab) who was up for re-election in May.

A rota system, whereby people take a week each, would probably work better. Perhaps split up weeks with a large number of contests though.

In terms of the burden we are trying to cover, am I correct in that in consists of the following - running the prediction competition- I think Robbie Nicole is happy to do that? - the weekly summary of forthcoming elections - the results tables compared to previous results in the weekly thread Am I missing anything else that needs to be covered?

Yes happy to do so. I'll also have a look at doing the weekly thread and monthly summaries hopefully in time for this Thursday unless anyone else is burning to do them.

I don’t think you’ll find anyone fighting you for it 😀. I’m happy to do the forthcoming elections summary, again, unless anyone is burning to do it.

SOPN for the Bridge of Don double election featuring a maiden appearance for the Red Party of Scotland. All parties are standing just the one candidate. So how's that choice of candidates within parties that STV supposedly offers going?

Good luck to the returning officer with the name of the Lib Dem candidate Electoral candidates in Japan often have very common and simple names, purely because you have to actually write the name of the candidate on the voting slip from memory!

When I next pass I’ll take more notice.

When I next pass I’ll take more notice. OK, the incumbent in Hanley Park and Shelton is Amjid Wazir; if he’s not taken his posters down that would be ironic as his City Independent opponent was fined for fly tipping during the campaign.
