Not so good. But STV is not really designed for a two (or anything <5 imo) member election. Still much better than FPTP though

Polish pronounciation is dead easy compared to English.  It's a phonetic language so once you know a small number of complicated rules you can pronounce pretty much anything.  So (Scotch-ee-clodder) and I'm sure he'll practice for the declaration.

Compared to how to pronounce "a tube of glue" "though, through, thou, cough" etc it's a piece of cake

I’ll ask around, but there’s nothing in the press or online about an election, so they sound like some that haven’t been removed from a previous election, unless there’s an internal union ballot they’re bizarrely advertising for.

The candidates name is Barry Downey

He’s one of the two shortlisted candidates for Staffordshire Police and Fire Commissioner; as he’s a retired FBU official it looks like the union maybe allowing him to base his campaign there. The campaign’s definitely got a bit of funding behind it as it’s the first time I’ve been telephone canvassed and received almost daily emails from a P&FCC campaign.

They only contested 1 of the 3 seats back in 2016 (when it split Res, Con, LD) and haven't contested either of the elections in the ward since, so I think it's more a case of not having a candidate other than the one who's just resigned...

I'm hearing Cllr Lynda Atkins, Wallingford, Oxfordshire has resigned from the council but I can't find anything to support it. Anyone know anything?
